One of the most cold hardy varieties. Beautiful perennial grass, with green leaves, grows up to a height of 1.5 m. It produces a very decorative fluffy panicles, cream-white, silky to the touch. Appear in late summer in August and a long-lasting decoration, even after the plant growing season. Grows best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Do not plant it on clay soils. Flower heads are suitable for use in dried arrangements.
One of the most ornamental grasses. Forms evergreen clumps of glaucos, finely-textured, blue-gray leaves. Grows up to 10 cm height. Tan spikes appear in the summer. Grows best in well-drained soil in part-shade. Ideal for rock garden and flower border. In heavy, poorly drained soils fescue tends to die out in the center.
