Blue Ice Cream is a Polish clematis variety bred by Szczepan Marczyński, introduced to the market in 2026. Valued for its large, double and semi-double flowers in a delicate, light blue colour. The variety blooms profusely in May and June, then repeats in July and August, providing a long-lasting decorative effect in the garden.
It grows up to 1.5–2 m. The large and attractive flowers, measuring 15–17 cm, look beautiful both against a green background and in compositions with other perennials and shrubs. It grows best in sunny and well-lit locations, but it is important that the base of the shoots is shaded while the upper part of the plant receives full light. It prefers fertile, well-drained, and moderately moist soil, with a pH ranging from neutral to slightly acidic. This variety is frost-hardy.
