Polish, prolific female form selected at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) Arboretum in Rogów. It produces tasty oval berries, 3 cm long and 2 cm wide (Mini Kiwi), with edible skin. Fruits ripen in late September – October. It starts bearing fruit in the third or fourth year after planting. Sustains frosts down to -28oC. It requires a warm, sunny, sheltered site with fertile, moist but well drained soil. It needs a male form of the same species (e.g. a male ‘Weiki’) in proximity in order to get pollinated and set fruit. It has twining stems and is suitable for growing on various supports, arbours, pergolas and wire fences. It can also be trained along wires drawn between poles. Particularly useful for home gardens, allotments and production plantations.
