Characteristic and requirements Climbers

  • Pot size C2 (2L)
  • Weight 2,00 kg
An ornamental, bearing tasty fruit (Mini Kiwi) climber that will adorn any garden. A rampant growing (up to 4m tall), dioecious, self-pollinating cultivar with a bit less decorative foliage than that of the other varieties. Blooms in June. In order to bear fruit a plant requires 150 days without frost. Berries ripen in October. If gathered unripe, they soften and mature when put in a bag together with fruit producing ethylene, e.g. apples, and kept at room temperature. It starts yielding fruit in the second, third year after planting. Sustains frosts up to around –25oC.
Pruning is best done in late autumn or winter (before the vegetation period), or in summer after the stems have partially grown thick and woody; otherwise the vine will bleed sap.
